    7:00 amWadi Al Koudh.

    Muscat Off Road 10km race, taking runners along the base of the wadi on uneven ground and loose stones before winding up the side of the wadi along a rocky trail in between the mountains and out onto a beautiful flat grassy plane; competitors will then circle back into the wadi along a number of narrow uneven trails to the finish line.

    The race village will be located in Wadi Al Koudh. This will be a multi-terrain 10k off road race. The race start will start in the race village, taking runners along the base of the wadi on uneven ground and loose stones before winding up the side of the wadi along a rocky trail in between the mountains and out onto a beautiful flat grassy plane; competitors will then circle back into the wadi along a number of narrow uneven trails to the finish line.

    Bib number collection will be from 6am to 6.40am.
    Race briefing at 6.50am / Race Start at 7am

    1. 200 meters sea swim.
    2. 400 meters sea swim.
    3. 600 meters sea swim.
    4. 800 meters sea swim.
    5. 1600 meters sea swim.

    Which is a One mile (of course!) and that is what the name of the Race is from!

    Competitors can do any distances they like.

     Race starts with the 200 meters, the 400 and so on.
     Duration of the Event is about two hours.

    Triathlon Training Camp With Jennifer Gibbons at Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa.

    Training Program Schedule:
    Thursday 20th
    Introductions, weekend plan.
    Specific Triathlon GYM session
    Nutrition chat

    Friday 21st:
    Long bike 2.5-3hours, including some faster work and possible hill repeats.
    Break
    Pool swim - drills, intervals and open water drills
    Break
    Afternoon/evening - run to do some drills, intervals/fartlek running
    Evening: Dinner, chat on training and racing including transitions

    Saturday 22nd:
    Open water swim - distance and also drills
    Break
    Short bike + run repeats to practice what we talked about on Friday evening
    Break
    Afternoon: to finish off with short swim+bike+run - something like 250-500m swim + 10-15km bike and then 2.5-5km run.
